Mother's Love 8x10 Mini Prints

There is nothing so touching or so heartfelt as the expression of a mother's love for her baby, her child. Nothing so profound exists. This Holstein mother cow and her new baby are certainly no exception as they spend precious moments together.

A note from Bonnie.........

I spent several hours out in our pasture, one August morning, just following this mother cow and newborn calf around. 

Keeping my distance of course, I sat quietly in the meadow grass just enjoying the playfulness of this new baby, and watching her drink milk from her mom for the first time. 

It's amazing how keen animal instincts are, just moments after they are born.  Newborns tire quickly though, and she was soon resting while her mother grazed contently.
