The Bread Of Life 9x13 Litho Open Signed

I  began this painting early, one Mother's Day morning....it was a gift to myself.  My mission was to paint a loaf of freshly baked bread.  I believe someone else had a greater mission for me and this painting. 

As it evolved, it took on a life of it's own.  The glowing light atop the bread became the presence of the Holy Spirit, as in our lives today.  The crusted curves within the loaf; the journey of Jesus; leading to his crucifixion, and the blood he shed to save us. 

The streams of light that flow from the bread, represents God's call for us, and in our midst (represented in the three darker rays) always,  is God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. 

The Bread of Life message:
"I AM THE LIVING BREAD THAT CAME DOWN FROM HEAVEN;
WHOEVER EATS THIS BREAD WILL LIVE FOREVER;
AND THE BREAD THAT I WILL GIVE IS MY FLESH FOR THE LIFE OF THE WORLD.
